Arsene Wenger chucked his ticket in yesterday so everyone is jostling for position to replace him. Let’s look at the runners and riders:
A doff of the cap and an arch of the eyebrow to Carlo Ancelotti, 58, who says he wants the Arsenal job.
But he’s going to be disappointed as 47-year-old Luis Enrique, former Barcelona boss is in talks with Arsenal about the job.
The Gunners shortlist includes Max Allegri, Leonardo Jardim, Joachim Low, and the ubiquitous British candidate, Brendan Rodgers.
No mention of Eddie Howe yet but it’s coming. In the meantime, Monaco or Everton might be interested in taking Wenger as their next boss.
Surprisingly, Wenger isn’t the only boss who is the talk of the town. Pep’s new Manchester City deal will be sorted at the end of the season.

It’s like the World Cup is already over with all this talk of bosses losing the jobs. But fear not, the big guns are wading in, ready to resume their place in the headlines…
Neymar Jr, 26, hasn’t got a release clause because they are illegal in France…
…which means Paris St-Germain are right to be thinking the Brazilian is angling for a Real Madrid deal this summer.
Wilf Zaha’s 25-year-old body swerve will be seen at Selhurst Park next season and in a big ‘Yah Boo Sucks’ to Tottenham, he’s staying at Crystal Palace.
Robert Lewandowski, 29, is being stalked by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich might be prepared to sell him.
AC Milan are set to be disappointed with Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, 31, ready to accept 2,000,000 bottles of wine from the Chinese Super League.
