Gossip Column: De Gea, Kepa, Courtois, Bonucci, Özil, Laporte, Andre Gomes, Crouch, Arter

Real Madrid are active on the transfer market and have been linked with several high-profile goalkeepers, such as David De Gea or Kepa in recent weeks. However, now they are being tied to Thibaut Courtois, who is reportedly unhappy at Chelsea.

Courtois is not the only player Madrid are targeting, however, as Los Merengues have also emerged as a target to sign Leonardo Bonucci in an attempt to bolster their defensive line.

If Real Madrid want to sign Courtois, then they will have to face heavy competition for the Belgian international. Juventus are also interested in the goalkeeper, as the Serie A side believes the Chelsea shot-stopper is the perfect long-term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon.

Mesut Özil might agree to join FC Barcelona, but only if the Spanish giants can meet his demands. The Germany international reportedly wants £330,000-per-week to join Los Blaugranas.

Barcelona have been rumored to be on the market for a central defender for the past few months, and they have found a target in La Liga. Los Cules are expected to approach Athletic Bilbao in an effort to make a move for Aymeric Laporte.

Juventus were rumored to be out of the race to sign Andre Gomes, but have apparently re-engaged in discussions with FC Barcelona. They believe the Portugal international can increase the team’s depth heavily.

Stoke City are reportedly happy with Peter Crouch‘s contributions to the team this season, and they are keen to offer the 37-year-old a new contract to extend his career for, at least, another year.

Harry Arter has been one of the most pleasant surprises in the English Premier League this season, but he could be on the verge of changing teams. The Bournemouth winger is being followed by both Crystal Palace and West Ham United.
