There was hope that Mesut Özil could extend his Arsenal contract before December, but The Gunners have not discussed anything since last February. Therefore, all signs indicate the talented playmaker will be playing elsewhere in 2018.

It was revealed that Arsenal can add another failed negotiation to their list this summer. They held talks to sign Benedikt Höwedes, but the former Schalke defender chose to sign with Juventus instead.

Atletico Madrid remain interested in Diego Costa, as the Brazilian-Spanish forward is reportedly out of favour at Chelsea. Los Colchoneros have increased their bid up to £53 million…

…but Atletico Madrid continue to say they are not going to make a move for him in the coming days.

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal hope to take advantage of Costa’s situation, as they are interested in a loan until January. That would allow the 28-year-old to build up his fitness ahead of a 2018 switch to Los Colchoneros.

Apparently Real Madrid are not the only team interested in RB Leipzig’s striker Timo Werner, as Liverpool are also keeping a close tab on the 21-year-old German star.

Barcelona are reportedly eager to resume talks with three of their biggest transfer targets ahead of a potential January move. These are Paulo Dybala, Jean-Michaël Seri, and Philippe Coutinho.
