Borussia Dortmund are expected to be one of the most active teams in the transfer market since they must improve the side in order to left behind a disappointing 2017-18 season.

The Bundesliga giants are keen to bolster their defensive line, and they have already identified one specific target to strengthen their right-back position. He goes by the names of Achraf Hakimi.

If that name rings a bell, it’s because Hakimi has been slowly making a name for himself all over Europe. The 19-year-old right-back joined Real Madrid at the tender age of eight, and has been progressively moving up through the ranks. He is now an established member of the first team but given his lack of potential playing time due to the presence of Dani Carvajal, Dortmund might offer him a decent alternative to continue his growth.

Hakimi is under contract until the end of the 2020-21 season. Given his age and potential, Real Madrid are likely to ask for a substantial offer in order to part ways with the talented defender who recently played for Morocco in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He is considered to be a vital piece of the future of the club.

Hakimi registered two appearances in the UEFA Champions League last season for Los Merengues, and filled in admirably when Dani Carvajal was out due to injury.

Real Betis, Sevilla and Napoli are also interested in the Morocco international.
