Manchester have won just one of three Premier League matches during the 2019/20 season. And while the team hasn’t been playing poorly, it’s clear they need a spark in the final third. But according to reports, they have found the man they’ve been looking for.

Apparently, The Red Devils are quite keen on Leicester’s playmaker James Maddison. The former Norwich star, who joined the Foxes before the start of the 2018/19 season, has been excellent for Leicester so far and has caught the eye of many top clubs, Manchester United involved.

It is believed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the 22-year-old playmaker to arrive at Old Trafford as soon as possible, and he has asked the club to make an approach for the Englishman during the January transfer window.

He won’t be cheap, however, as Leicester are reluctant to part ways with their best player soon after losing Harry Maguire to The Red Devils. The Foxes are said to be asking for around €80million to let their star midfielder leave. United would be open to pay that hefty sum if that means acquiring him now.

Maddison, who is expected to be named in England’s squad for the upcoming international break, had seven goals with seven assists in 36 Premier League appearances last season. He has two assists in three matches already in the 2019/20 campaign.
