Alvaro Morata just completed his first season with Chelsea in the English Premier League. However, the Spaniard could be set for (another) change of scenery away from Stamford Bridge.

The presence of Olivier Giroud and the impending returns of both Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham could make things difficult for the Spaniard, who didn’t do any favours to himself with a below-expectations first season in the Premier League. And Chelsea might consider to cash in on him before it’s too late.

Apparently, the Serie A is ready to welcome him with open arms, though. Borussia Dortmund have emerged as a potential destination in a trade that would send Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea, but AC Milan are also keen to make a move for the forward who was left out of Spain’s World Cup squad.

According to a report from Sky Italia, the Rossoneri side wants to sign the former Juventus and Real Madrid striker once the transfer market opens. The same source claims that club chiefs Massimiliano Mirabelli and Marco Fassone met with the striker’s agent Beppe Bozzo earlier today as the Rossoneri are set to submit an official proposal for the Spaniard.

It is believed that Milan want a season-long loan with an option to buy for the 25-year-old striker, who recorded 15 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions this term. In the Premier League alone, Morata had 11 goals in 31 matches (24 starts).
