Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez is ready to jump ship to the Premier League if Real Madrid keep Zinedine Zidane as head coach, reports

The Colombian is eyeing a move to Arsenal or Liverpool if the Bavarians are unable to agree a fee with the reigning Spanish champions. Reports in Germany claim the perennial Bundesliga champions are keen to make Rodriguez’s deal permanent when his two-year loan spell ends. So far this season, James has scored four and recorded six assists.

Jupp Heynckes is using the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot and Pukas Award winner as the focal point of his team this season, with the Colombia international responding to the trust by rediscovering the form which made him one of European football’s most coveted players four years ago.

With the upturn in his form, the German media reports Bayern are preparing a bid to bring him to the Allianz Arena in a summer which is set to be tumultuous for the Bavarians.

Speculation is rife that Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are both set to leave the Bundesliga club this summer with Robert Lewandowski a target for Real Madrid once again while Arturo Vidal is tipped to join Manchester United.
