Gareth Bale’s future is widely known to be away from the Bernabeu. The Wales international has already been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, the 28-year-old finds himself being hawked around Europe as a makeweight in any of the big deals tied to Real Madrid.

The latest is Los Blancos pursuit of Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, according to the Sunday Express.

Real Madrid’s admiration for the mercurial Belgian is well-known and this summer, the report claims, they are poised to move for the 27-year-old winger. The Blues, they believe, will be tempted into the move with £100m and Bale thrown in.

It’s similar to the talk surround their pursuit of Tottenham striker Harry Kane, 24. Bale, it seems, is the man everyone wants except for Real Madrid.

The Welshman struggled to overcome the Bernabeu boo-boys with even the announcement of his arrival featuring protests at the sale of Mesut Özil, 29, to Arsenal. That deal funded Bale’s signing.

Options for returning to the Premier League are limited for Bale unless Real can strike an exchange deal. Manchester United appear to be out of the market for the winger having signed Alexis Sanchez, 29, from Arsenal last month while Manchester City are looking at other positions for their transfer spend.
