Real Madrid have been rumoured to add a striker next summer, and it is not a secret that Los Merengues are keen admirors of Harry Kane. And they are reportedly discussing a swap with Tottenham Hotspur looking towards the end of the season.
Los Blancos are set to launch a sensational £150 million bid for Harry Kane, which could see Gareth Bale return to Tottenham in part-exchange, the Daily Star reports. The Spurs have the first option re-acquire Bale in case Madrid decides to sell the coveted winger, although Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Welsh international as well.
The deal is far from completed, though. Tottenham do not want to part ways with their star striker midway through the season, and it is believed that any potential deal would happen once the current season ends. Furthermore, there are issues to solve when it comes to the wages, as Bale’s inmense £300,000-per-week wages could prove a sticking point.
However, it seems Madrid are determine to do whatever it takes to acquire Kane. Los Merengues see the England international as the perfect replacement for a struggling Karim Benzema, and they feel Kane would form a lethal partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo upfront.
