It’s not a secret that Real Madrid are keen to sign Paul Pogba as soon as the chance arises. And considering the new developments between the Frenchman and Manchester United, Los Merengues might take advantage of that and pursue the coveted playmaker during the January transfer window.
Considering Pogba is pressing Manchester United to let him go during once the market re-opens in January next year, Los Merengues are ready to submit a massive offer to convince The Red Devils to part ways with their former Academy graduate. The Spanish giants would offer £73m, plus James Rodriguez and Mariano.
Adding James would be a huge boost for Manchester United since he could be a natural fit for the n° 10 position on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tactical scheme. Mariano would be nothing more than a depth piece at the moment, since players such as Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and even Mason Greenwood would be more competent alternatives upfront.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United are going to accept that offer or not. But Real Madrid mean business in their pursuit of Pogba, and it seems as if they’re not going to back down until the Frenchman can wear the Merengue colors sooner than later.
