Real Madrid’s Jese told to leave, Arsenal & Chelsea prepare bids

Arsenal and Chelsea are set to lock horns over the signature of Jese, 23, who has been told he can leave Real Madrid this summer.

The winger is frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities at the Bernabeu and Real coach, Zinedine Zidane, has given no guarantees that his situation will improve next season. It is understood however, that the Frenchman would prefer a loan deal rather than sell the player.

President Florentino Perez has the final say on the matter and with Real frustrated in the transfer market this summer, may take the opportunity to raise much needed funds.

The Real chief tried to turn a quick profit on the purchase and resale of Alvaro Morata, 23, only to see his true target Paul Pogba, 23, opt to move to Manchester United. Now, Perez is saving face by holding onto the striker.

Jese has been capped by Spain at all junior international levels but has been frustrated in his desire to graduate to the senior team. A move away from the Spanish capital is the only way he can realise that dream.

Despite Carlo Ancelotti describing the player as an “insane talent”, he failed to impress Zidane and was an unused substitute during Real’s Champions League final win over city neighbours, Atletico.
