Javier Pastore has been linked with a move away from PSG for quite a while now. Teams in Italy and Spain have taken notice, but another potential suitor now has emerged in the race to acquire the services of the Argentina international.
According to several European outlets, Turkish Super League giants Besiktas are set to make a move for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder since they see him as the perfect replacement for Anderson Talisca. The Brazilian has been linked with a move to either Manchester United or AS Roma in recent months.
Pastore would certainly fit the bill here. He has plenty of experience at the top level, has transitioned himself as a central midfielder instead of the n°10 he was in his Palermo days, and has enough quality to become a top player in the Turkish League.
A report from Fanatik mentioned that the Super Eagles – reigning TSL champions – plan to offer €10 million for the services since the former Palermo star only has one year left in his current deal. And PSG are eager to sell him to comply with FIFA Financial Fair Play rules.
Pastore would seem to prefer a move to the Serie A and he admitted he was interested in joining Inter Milan, but the Italian side didn’t bite. And now it seems Besiktas might be his most likely destination.
