AS Monaco are about to undergo a massive exodus during the upcoming summer transfer period.
The Ligue 1 side is about to make several changes during the coming months, and recent reports have indicated that some of the team’s best players are likely to depart from Les Monegasques over the coming months.
Among those likely to leave are Fabinho, Radamel Falcao, Thomas Lemar and Djibril Sidibe. In fact, Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev practically confirmed the Brazilian’s departure due to the ongoing interest about him. Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City have all enquired about the Brazilian midfielder.
“Yes,” he told SFR Sport. “We owe this kid because he’s been here four years and it’s been promised to him. “But we have to wait for the right offer because we’ll never let a player leave if the offer isn’t satisfactory for Monaco… Atletico are not the only club who have shown an interest.”
The other aforementioned players all have suitable offers on the table as well. Thomas Lemar has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, while Djibril Sidibe has also been linked with a Premier League switch as well as PSG. There aren’t many rumours regarding Falcao, but who wouldn’t take the Colombian considering the re-discovered his goalscoring touch this past season?
Nothing has been set in stone yet. But all signs point to the fact that it will be a busy summer for the French side.
