Alvaro Morata seems to be one of the hottest transfer commodities this summer, as the Spaniard might be on the verge of leaving Chelsea despite the fact he joined the team last summer. And there has not been a shortage of suitors for his services.
Teams like AC Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have already enquired for the Spain international who was left out of the 2018 World Cup squad. But a recent report from Spanish radio station La Cadena SER has indicated another team has emerged as a potential destination for the striker.
We are talking about Inter Milan, as Chelsea could include Morata in their offer to sign Inter star striker Mauro Icardi.
Morata registered 15 goals in 48 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea during the 2017-18 season, but his tenure at Stamford Bridge has already had a lot of problems due to injuries and the fact that he has not adapted as well as expected to the Premier League pace.
Icardi wouldn’t have that problem, however, as he spent his youth years at Barcelona and already plays for Inter, where he has become one of the deadliest forwards in the Serie A. He has spent his entire career among top players so adjusting to the pace of the EPL shouldn’t be a big deal for the 25-year-old.
Icardi, who won’t play for Argentina in the upcoming 2018 World Cup, amassed 29 goals in 34 Serie A appearances for Inter this past season.
