West Ham United are set to make a double swoop in the transfer market with Slaven Bilic ready to bring Simone Zaza, 24, and Alexandre Lacazette, 25, to the Olympic Stadium.
Juventus signed Italian international Zaza last summer in an €18m deal from Sassuolo, who finished 6th in last season’s Serie A. Currently with Italy at Euro 2016, Zaza scored 5 goals in 19 appearances in 2015/16 but grew frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities.
Despite the recent sale of Alvaro Morata, 23, to Real Madrid, Zaza sees little improvement in his situation and is ready to move to the Premier League.
The two clubs are in talks with West Ham offering €20m for the striker. Juventus, though, have already rejected a €25m offer from Wolfsburg and want closer to €30m.
Meanwhile, the Hammers have returned with a £30m offer to Lyon for their striker, Alexandre Lacazette.
The French international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the past and was the subject of a £20m bid from Newcastle United in January, as they sought to avoid relegation.
Lacazette wants a move to a Champions League club but West Ham are confident of overcoming that obstacle, hoping to impress him with their ambitions as they move into the Olympic Stadium this summer.
Co-owner and chairman, David Sullivan, has already stated that his target is to emulate Leicester City and win the Premier League title in the next three seasons.
Whether that is enough for the striker who has netted 63 goals in his last 100 Ligue Un appearances, remains to be seen.
