It looks like Tottenham are once again looking towards France for their transfer targets. At least they are looking at all, since they have not made a single transfer in the past two transfer windows and the summer of 2019 now looks like a certain window for that to change.
Spurs are reportedly keen on signing LOSC Lille’s highly-rated Boubakary Soumare. According to Foot Mercato, Soumare has been followed by several clubs, including Juventus, AS Monaco and Arsenal, but nothing truly came of them. Soumare is 20-year-old defensive midfielder and a product of PSG’s academy.
Foot Mercato also claim Tottenham will not be the only club trying to sign him this summer, with Valencia, AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund all looking to make their moves in the near future. Soumare turned 20 this February and has made 15 appearances for Lille this season in all competitions, as they are looking to return to Champions League football next season.
