One of the best players in the Eredivisie could soon leave the league since Hirving Lozano is quite close to complete his exit from PSV Eindhoven, although any potential transfer would come to fruition during the upcoming summer.
According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Italian side Napoli are on the verge of completing the signing of the Mexican sensation, who has been with the Dutch club since 2017 when he joined from Liga MX side Pachuca. But he proved to be too good for the Eredivisie, and several have been already looking at him.
Apparently, Napoli are said to win the race that at one point included other top sides such as Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal. But the Serie A side have shown most interest, and now Lozano seems set to complete the switch towards the San Paolo Stadium.
There have been several instances where both sides have talked and while the asking price is currently at £35 million, Napoli could go as high as £40m to secure the Mexican’s services, who could form an impressive attacking trio next to Lorenzo Insigne and Arkadiusz Milik.
Napoli are said to be more than willing to pay that, and if that’s the case, it’s only a matter of time until we get some kind of official announcement from either club or Lozano himself. The Mexican has been enjoying another solid season for PSV, registering 15 goals and eight assists in 24 league appearances for the Eindhoven side.
