Gonzalo Higuain has been one of the most prolific strikers in the Serie A over the past decade. Whether at Napoli or at Juventus, the Argentina international has been synonym of goals and production over the past few years in the reigning Serie A champions.
However, there is a big chance that the former Real Madrid striker leaves for greener pastures this upcoming season. Former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri might end up coaching Chelsea and if that’s the case, he is already determined to make a push to acquire Higuain this summer.
There are lots of questions regarding the future of the 30-year-old. There is no question that Juventus want to keep him, but he could welcome a switch since he doesn’t have a lot left to prove in the Serie A. Plus, the potential deal could include a swap, sending Alvaro Morata – who never adjusted to Chelsea – back to Juventus, where he had some of the best moments of his career.
It remains to be seen on whether both clubs agree to make a deal or not, but this is a transfer that should definitively happen if the chance arises. Higuain would be perfect in the Premier League, while Morata could certainly welcome a Serie A return.
