Could it be time to admit that Malcom made a huge mistake this summer signing with FC Barcelona? He’s barely gotten playing time and so far, the move from Bordeaux to Catalunya has not paid off for the talented winger. And based on recent reports, he could be on the move once again, only a few months after completing his Barca switch.

According to a report from Spanish newspaper SPORT, Tottenham are very interested in Malcom, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise since the Spurs were heavily linked with him – along with Roma, of course – before he joined Barcelona. But now the Premier League side is apparently keen to make a move for him during January.

Sport reported that Tottenham are monitoring Malcom’s situation closely and could prepare a €50 million bid for the former Bordeaux winger during the January transfer window. Malcom joined Barcelona for a reported €41 million in the summer but has played just 25 minutes this season and none in nearly a month for Los Blaugranas.

Tottenham are not the only team monitoring Malcom, though, as Sport also listed Inter Milan as a possibility. But even despite his lack of playing time, Barca are not going to give up on him like they did with Yerry Mina. He’s only 21 and has loads of potential, so he could need time to adjust. Just like Ousmane Dembele last season.
