Olympique Marseille do not do business the way you expect them to. After spending too much money last summer on several players that did not really bring anything exciting to the team, including Duje Caleta-Car, Nemanja Radonjic and Kevin Strootman, they will now have to offload some of the waist if they are to comply with the European regulations.
According to Sky Sports, Marseille are willing to listen to offers for their top talents as they endeavour to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations. Marseille did not manage to improve on their 2017-18 when they played Europa League final and they continued slipping on opportunities to return to Champions League football.
Florian Thauvin, Dimitri Payet, Kevin Strootman and Morgan Sanson are therefore all available and have already been linked with various clubs across Europe. It will be interesting to see what kind of team they will have once the season starts.
