Inter Milan are looking to bolster their attacking depth towards the 2019-20 season and while they have to deal with the Mauro Icardi saga first, there’s no question the Serie A giants are already looking at the market towards finding another goalscoring option that can either compete or backup Lautaro Martinez.

One of the biggest names that have been linked with a move to Inter is none other than Valencia star forward Rodrigo. The 28-year-old Spain international hasn’t been able to repeat what he did during the 2017-18 campaign where he emerged as one of the most deadly strikers in La Liga, but big teams are still after him despite his average season for Valencia.

A capable goalscoring threat who can play all over the attacking third, Rodrigo is a different player when compared to Icardi, but there’s no question he could fit quite well in the Serie A. His pace could allow him to get past defenders with ease and his finishing touch is quite good, although he hasn’t been very effective during the current term. And at 28, he’s entering the prime of his career.

Rodrigo has scored only five goals while dishing out five assists during the current season for Los Che. Those are not ideal numbers, but the fact that Inter remain interested in him despite his poor year should speak volumes regarding his quality.
