Atletico Madrid might need to find attacking reinforcements looking towards the 2019-20 season.

Diego Costa have not looked like his own self this season. Nikola Kalinic and Gelson Martins – the latter is actually on loan at Monaco – have been downright poor, and Antoine Griezmann might leave this summer. This would leave Los Colchoneros with only Alvaro Morata as their reliable attacking threat, but they’ve found a target they’d like to acquire ahead of next season.

We’re talking about Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne. According to italian newspaper Il Mattino, the Italy international has been a target for the Spanish giants for quite a while now, although the Partenopei side is not keen to part ways with their star forward unless they can receive an offer around the €100m mark.

However, one thing that could tip the scales towards a potential departure of Insigne might be the fact that Napoli’s own fans booed Insigne when he was subbed off during this past Thursday’s Europa League match against Arsenal. That’s not something he deserves and he knows it.

So far this season, the 27-year-old Insigne has nine goals and six assists in 25 Serie A appearances, while adding four more goals between the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
