Marko Grujic won’t have a chance to impress Jurgen Klopp during the upcoming 2018-19 Premier League campaign since he will go out on loan for the second consecutive season. However, the challenge will be bigger for the 22-year-old Serbia international this time.

Grujic spent last season on loan at Cardiff and helped them secure promotion, but now he will feature in one of Europe’s top leagues since he agreed on a season-long loan move to join Hertha Berlin, in the German Bundesliga.

However, Liverpool were smart before sending him on loan and extended his current deal with The Reds. Grujic might not have space in the first-team squad at the moment, but there is no doubt that both management and the coaching staff see him as a valuable piece in the short-term and mid-term future.

Grujic has made 14 senior appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Red Star Belgrade in 2016. He helped Cardiff win promotion to the Premier League last season and was part of his country’s squad at this summer’s World Cup.
