Diego Reyes is looking for a new home considering he is now a free agent, and it seems he could find himself playing in England in the near future, as two Premier League sides are reportedly open to make a move for him.
West Ham United and Newcastle United have both expressed interest in the Mexico international, who has earned 53 caps for El Tri during his career but is yet to find a new team following the end of his contract with FC Porto.
These two Premier League sides are not the only alternatives for the versatile defender, however, as Fenerbahce have also submitted an offer for him. For what is worth, Reyes has a lot international experience aside from Porto since he has played in LaLiga as well: he featured for Real Sociedad in 2015/16 and Espanyol in 2016/17.
Meanwhile, in Porto he earned 49 appearances after arriving from Club America back in 2013.
If he were to join West Ham, he would have plenty of competition since he side already acquired two centre-backs this summer: Issa Diop (for £21.9m from Toulouse) and Fabian Balbuena (for £6.5m from Corinthians). Meanwhile, he would have a clearer path at more playing time if he were to join the St. James Park outfit.
