One of the most prolific strikers in recent years of the Serie A is ready to move on, although he’ll simply change teams and will continue to terrorize opposing defences in Italy’s top-flight. We’re talking about Edin Dzeko, as the former Manchester City and Wolfsburg star will reportedly move from AS Roma to Inter Milan this next summer.
The information was confirmed on a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato.
Dzeko has scored just eight times this season and his departure from Roma hasn’t been a secret since he hasn’t had a very good year. The Bosnian had been heavily linked with a Premier League return in order to join West Ham United, but now Inter have taken the lead on the race to sign him. The Neroazzurri have done this by offering Dzeko a contract worth in the region of £3.9 million a year.
Those figures would convince anyone to remain in Italy instead of moving back to the Premier League. Arguably, he’s lived the best years of his career on Italian soil and he could end up as Inter’s starting striker next season – his arrival would allow Inter to part ways with their controversial star Mauro Icardi.
The move hasn’t been announced by any of the two clubs yet.
