Neymar Set To Accept PSG Offer, Could Leave Barcelona In Coming Days

If this is not the biggest transfer we have seen in recent years, then it is pretty close.

PSG could be on the verge of adding a star player to their squad, as reports coming from Brazil have indicated that Neymar has accepted an offer from PSG, paving the way for a world-record €222 million transfer fee that would send him from Barcelona to Paris.

Things developed quickly, as MARCA reported on Monday that PSG were ready to pay a huge fee for Neymar’s services. SPORT followed with another report that indicated Neymar felt he wouldn’t progress much more playing alongside Lionel Messi, and now it seems everything is set for him to move to PSG.

Neymar would join a star-studded side in Paris, but he would also welcome several friends in his potential new team. Brazil internationals Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Lucas Moura and Dani Alves all play for the Ligue 1 giants, and there is no question Neymar would form an unstoppable trio next to Edinson Cavani and Julian Draxler.

Neymar is reportedly looking to move away from Camp Nou in an effort to become his team’s main star, something that would give him the chance to fight for the Ballon D’Or in the coming years. The rumour is out there, and it would not be surprising if the Brazilian winger lands in Paris sooner than later.
