Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic is widely seen as one of the top prospects in Europe, and for good reason. The United States playmaker has been progressing at a steady rate and the 20-year-old has seen his status rise over the past 12 months.
However, he hasn’t been playing many significant minutes of late for the Bundesliga table-toppers. In fact, Pulisic was as unused sub during Der Klassiker against Bayern Munich – with Lucien Favre opting to start Jacob Bruun Larsen instead – and there is a chance the American star ends up leaving the side. He only has 18 months left on his current deal and is also keen to play in the Premier League.
Enter Liverpool. The Reds are favourites to lure the talented prospect away from Germany and right into England, but they would face some stiff competition since Chelsea and Tottenham have also expressed interest in his services. However, it is believed that Liverpool are leading the race for his services.
Considering there are no talks for a potential extension, Liverpool might take advantage of that and submit a new offer. They already submitted an £11 million that was rejected back in 2016, and it is believed that the Anfield club will now have to pay an awful lot more just to have a chance at getting him.
