FC Barcelona couldn’t sign Neymar this past summer, but that hasn’t discouraged them from potentially making another splash towards the 2019-20 season. And according to recent reports, they have already settled on two potential targets for the upcoming summer.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo has reported Los Blaugranas will go after either Harry Kane or Kylian Mbappe once the current 2019-20 season comes to an end. They have realized bringing Neymar would be too much of a challenge, and they would rather make a move for his PSG teammate instead.

Mbappe would certainly fit at Barcelona and he could be Lionel Messi’s heir to the throne, considering the Argentina international doesn’t have many years left at the top. Another name that was reportedly in consideration was Roberto Firmino, but Liverpool are unwilling to let him go.

Harry Kane has also been discussed as a possibility, and the Englishman would be Luis Suarez’s long-term replacement. Although to sign Kane, Barca would probably have to sell Suarez first. Having both players on the squad doesn’t seem reasonable, especially if neither wants to be on the bench for a prolonged period of time.

Barcelona simply have to analyse things and decide which player they want to target first.
