Gareth Bale, 26, is set for crunch contract talks with Real Madrid in the coming weeks as they look to tie down their star man.
Since joining Real Madrid in 2013 the welsh wizard has netted 43 goals in 77 appearances for Real and after a sticky start, become a fan favourite at the club.
With Cristiano Ronaldo set to leave this summer it is understood that the board are prepared to make Bale the highest earner at club. This may not be enough with Bale’s partner craving a move back to England with their young family, money is not the only factor in a decision.
An interesting subplot is the move may also be dependent on whether Bale’s hero Ryan Giggs is still at United come the summer.
