The Premier League season ended this past Sunday and one of the biggest disappointments, at least on an individual level, was Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean forward endured a tough year at Manchester United and all signs indicate he’s set to leave the Old Trafford side during the upcoming summer.
Even though finding a team willing to take on his salary would be a difficult accomplishment for The Red Devils, there should be a lot of interest regarding his services. PSG and Inter Milan have been mentioned as potential destinations, but another one could be Juventus. And according to recent reports, the Serie A title-winners appear as front-runners to sign the former Udinese and Barcelona star.
According to recent reports over in Italy, Alexis’ agent, Fernando Felicevich, is looking for new clubs for the Chile international and The Old Lady has emerged as a viable destination. In fact, it is believed that Felicevich held a meeting with Juventus’ officials just days before the EPL season finale. Alexis didn’t play in that game after suffering an injury in the previous fixture.
Considering Juventus aren’t able to match the huge £500,000-a-week wages that he is currently being paid at Old Trafford, Sanchez would be obliged to take a pay cut in order to leave Manchester United. But the fact that Juventus remain interested on him despite his bad season speaks volumes of how high he’s regarded by top sides all over the continent.
