Roma Want Ramsey But Won’t Let Schick Move To Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is a target for AS Roma but the Italians won’t let the Gunners have striker Patrik Schick in exchange, claims a Daily Mirror report.

Giallorossi sporting director Monchi spoke at the weekend and denied a deal for the Wales international is close. In particular, the club is reluctant to let 22-year-old Schick leave the Stadio Olimpico.

The forward scored his first goal since April during the weekend’s 4 – 1 win over Sampdoria. Schick, a Czech Republic international, moved from Sampdoria to Roma in 2017 in a move which can potentially cost €42m if the 22-year-old is sold before February 2020.

Ramsey can leave the Emirates next summer on a free transfer after Arsenal withdrew a contract offer. Roma are among a number of clubs interested in his signature with Manchester United and Chelsea leading the way. However, the midfielder made no secret of his desire to play abroad having seen his Wales team-mate Gareth Bale, 29, make a success of his career.
