Isco could be one of the first Real Madrid players to leave the club following the arrival of Santiago Solari as the club’s permanent head coach.
The 26-year-old playmaker and Spain international is yet to feature under the guidance of the Argentinian, and in fact his last appearances for Los Blancos was in the 1-5 defeat against Barcelona in El Clasico. Solari has been keeping Isco on the bench and if that continues in the following, it is believed that the Spaniard will look for alternatives elsewhere, according to a report from Spanish newspaper AS.
In fact, the same report indicated that Isco could even leave the reigning European champions during the January transfer window. At least on paper, it seems no player has been hurt more by Julen Lopetegui’s departure than Isco. But should he really try to find a new team for not playing in the past three matches? That seems a bit excessive.
One of the team that could target the former Malaga star are Juventus, as they have been tracking him down for quite a while. However, the chances of him actually leaving Real Madrid seems slim… at the moment. But if his lack of involvement persists until January or so, then Isco’s departure could end up being a reality. It will all depend on how Solari uses him – if he ends up playing at all.
