N’Golo Kante must have been one of the most sought-after players in the world over the past two years. After his meteoric rise with a Leicester City side that won the Premier League back in 2016, the French star has now featured regularly for both Chelsea and the France national team, and is widely considered as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.
However, Kante might find himself playing elsewhere after the 2018 World Cup. Chelsea did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, and the team overall is just a shell of the team that won the 2016-17 Premier League title. And if Kante leaves, two of Europe’s biggest teams are already knocking on his door.
We are talking about Real Madrid, from Spain, and PSG, from France, as both sides are quite keen on making a move for the talented midfielder. And while signing Kante is not going to come easy, Madrid and PSG are actually two of the richest clubs in the world. They can definitively afford a player like Kante.
Both teams could certainly use him, though. Real Madrid need to fill the gap in case Mateo Kovacic leaves the side, while PSG need to replace Thiago Motta. And Kante would fit in almost any team in the worldl.
Kante has only been with Chelsea for two years, but he has already racked up 69 Premier League appeances with two goals.
