Chelsea’s manager Maurizio Sarri has been a long-time admirer of Barcelona’s midfielder Denis Suarez, who once again looks out of favour at the Spanish giants and hasn’t had many chances to play for Los Blaugranas in the current term. And according to reports in Spain, the former Napoli tactician is keen to make another attempts at luring the talented 24-year-old away from Camp Nou.

Indeed, Sarri wanted to sign Suarez for Napoli in the past, but Los Blaugranas did not want to part ways and ended asking for too much money. But things are different right now. Barcelona have an absolute logjam in midfield – with Arthur, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets all vying for a starting role – and Suarez has become a forgotten member on the squad.

In fact, Suarez only has one match this season, and it was in the Copa del Rey against Cultural Leonesa where he played the full 90 minutes.

Things have gotten so bad, that Suarez could easily find a new team during the January transfer window. And Sarri has been monitoring the situation since he wants the midfielder at Chelsea. Money wouldn’t be an issue this time around, as The Blues have enough money to purchase any player in the world. They should be able to meet Barca’s demands for Suarez rather comfortably.

Suarez wants consistent playing time, and it seems Sarri is willing to give him just that. This sounds like a match made in heaven for both parties, as Barca could eventually cash out on a player who doesn’t have enough minutes to remain in the first-team squad anymore.
