There has been a lot of talk regarding the future of Lucas Vazquez. Once dubbed as the future star of Real Madrid’s attacking line – alongside Marco Asensio – the talented winger and Spain international has yet to crack into Los Merengues’ starting XI.
Apparently, Bayern Munich would be open to take advantage of Vazquez’s ack of first-team minutes at Santiago Bernabeu. According to a report from Spanish outlet Don Balon, the reigning Bundesliga champions are keen to make a move for Vazquez, although it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid are willing to sell.
The aforementioned report indicated that Bayern’s boss Niko Kovac is a huge admirer of the 27-year-old Spaniard, and would give green light for a potential January move … if the chance arises, of course.
Bayern would be wise to make a push to sign Vazquez.. or any world-class winger, really. The Bavarian side need to think about life after the departures of both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, and Vazquez would certainly be a welcomed addition to the side.
Bayern Munich believe their healthy business relationship with Real Madrid would allow them to materialize a January swoop for the player believed to be valued around €30 million. Vazquez has featured in 94 Liga matches in the past three seasons, but his inability to earn regular playing time might force him to find a new team. Could Bayern be the one?
