Real Madrid know they must improve the squad looking towards the long-term picture. And if recent reports are true, then the Spanish giants have reportedly found a target that could even become Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement for the long-term scenario.
According to a report from AS, Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Paris Saint-Germain forward Goncalo Guedes, who has spent this season at Valencia and is currently thriving in La Liga.
Despite his impressive performances, it doesn’t seem likely that Guedes will play for PSG any time soon.
The presence of players such as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Julian Draxler has his path blocked for the foreseeable future, and we shouldn’t forget the fact that the Ligue 1 giants need to start selling players as well since they must comply with the FIFA Financial Fair Play Rules. Right now, Guedes is their best chip available on the market.
Los Blancos have taken notice of that, and are willing to make a move for the Portugal international. With deep pockets to buy almost any player in the world, Real Madrid shouldn’t have problems to meet PSG’s asking price of €40 million.
Valencia are also keen to match that, but they have don’t have enough budget to acquire the former Benfica winger.
