Stop me if you have heard this before: Real Madrid are looking to sign a star player this summer.
Los Blancos have already signed Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic this summer, but they don’t plan to stop there. They’re also interested in Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, and are reportedly planning an offer that would include Gareth Bale in an attempt to sweeten the deal.
Per several reports, Los Merengues will attempt to send the Welsh star plus cash in order to sign the French midfielder. However, Pogba won’t come cheap and United are hoping to receive a transfer fee around the £130 million mark. That figure would come down if Bale is included on the deal, but don’t expect United to let their star player leave for anything under £60 million + the Welsh winger.
Another issue that might complicate the deal is Pogba’s astronomical wage at Old Trafford, since he is one of the highest-paid players on the squad. But Bale’s wage demands – reportedly over £600,000 per week – could make a deal less attractive for United.
It remains to be seen whether both sides would agree to a deal, but Real Madrid won’t stop pursuing the Frenchman. And when Real Madrid want a player, they usually get him.
