AC Milan have been linked with a potential move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, the to-be-decided arrival of the Swede might reduce the playing time of Milan’s main attacking players this season, such as Rafael Leao and Krszysztof Piatek.
It has been rumoured one of the two could end up leaving the San Siro outfit in January if other teams submit a substantial offer for their services. However, sources from the Serie A giants have confirmed neither player is expected to leave.
According to a report from Italian outlet Corriere Della Sera, there are teams interested in both the Polish and the Brazilian. However, both will remain with Milan despite their struggles and the potential arrival of attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window. For what is worth, Piatek has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez at Barcelona.
Piatek has not performed as expected following his January arrival last year. The Polish star destroyed the Serie A with Genoa during the first half of the 2018/19 season, but he hasn’t been able to replicate that with the Rossonero side. He has three goals in 11 appearances this term.
Leao, meanwhile, came from Lille this summer but hasn’t made much of an impact yet. The 20-year-old only has one goal and one assist in eight competitive appearances for the former European champions.
