The race to sign Hirving Lozano has been heating up in recent weeks, and a new team has reportedly join the race to make a move for the Mexican winger and Eredivisie star, who has been tearing it up in the Dutch top flight on a weekly basis.
According to reports in England, Tottenham Hotspur sent scouts to watch Hirving Lozano in PSV Eindhoven’s Champions League match against Inter Milan this past Tuesday. Oddly enough, PSV’s main rival for Lozano’s signature could be Barcelona, their opponent during the UCL Matchweek 2.
The 23-year-old, who is currently on his second season with the Dutch giants after signing from Liga MX side Pachuca, has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and there were rumours last summer, but nothing came to fruition. Los Blaugranas are not the only team alive on Lozano’s sweepstakes, however, as Manchester United have also been mentioned as a potential destination.
It remains to be seen whether the Spurs can complete the move for Lozano or not, but one thing is certain: the fact that they are sending scouts to watch him live means they are serious about their interest. And now it’s up to the management to complete the transfer for one of the hottest commodities in the European market over the past few months.
