It is not a secret that Barcelona want to bolster their depth on the full-back position. Los Blaugranas feel they could use an upgrade on the right side, while acknowledging that a left-back to compete with Jordi Alba is also a priority.

With that mind, Barca officials were in attendance this Tuesday at Allianz Arena as they were set to scout on several first-team targets. According to Catalan site Mundo Deportivo, two of the names Barca were watching appeared to the Bayern’s duo of Joshua Kimmich and David Alaba.

Both would fit the role of improving the full-back positions, but it is unlikely that Bayern will decide to part ways with any of them. Therefore, they have also looked at potential alternatives and one name that also sneaked in the club’s agenda is the one of Nicolas Tagliafico. The Argentinian has delivered quality appearances of late, and Los Blaugranas have already noticed him.

Alaba and Kimmich seem to be the priority, though. Both have plenty of international experience, know what it means to win at the biggest stage, and are also versatile enough to cover other positions if needed. The interest is there, now it remains to be seen whether Bayern will bite or not.
