Gareth Bale has been heavily linked with a potential move to Manchester United this upcoming summer. In fact, it has been reported that the Real Madrid star is keen to join the Old Trafford outfit so both sides are expected to get in talks regarding a potential move quite soon.
And according to a report from the Manchester Evening News, that is exactly what Real Madrid and The Red Devils are doing.
Jose Mourinho wants to have the Welsh international to form a deadly attacking trio with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, and Los Blancos seem ready to do business as off-loading Bale would allow them to generate cash to pursue other alternatives, such as Harry Kane, Mauro Icardi or Eden Hazard.
Bale is not the only player these two sides have discussed in recent weeks, though. Real Madrid have also been linked with David De Gea, Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford, while Manchester United could make moves for Raphael Varane, Toni Kroos and even Cristiano Ronaldo if the chance arises.
Right now, however, Bale is the most likely player to switch from Madrid to Manchester. The Welsh has struggled for playing time under Zinedine Zidane this same and could use a return to the Premier League.
The Welshman managed a total of 65 goals in 120 La Liga outings since joining Real Madrid from Tottenham some five years ago.
