One of the top defenders in Manchester United could be on his way out of the club during the upcoming transfer window.
According to a report from The Daily Mirror, central defender Eric Bailly could be set to leave the Old Trafford outfit at the end of the season since he is not comfortable with his lack of first-team football during the second part of the season.
In fact, it is believed that the 24-year-old is particularly disappointed to not take part of the match squad for Sunday’s match against Arsenal, and he would have decided to search for greener pastures once the transfer market opens up in July.
It is not a secret that Bailly enjoyed a bright start to his career after joining from Villarreal two years ago, as he went to make 25 Premier League appearances in his debut season. However, things have changed drastically this season and between injuries and poor form, the talented centre-back has been limited to just 11 Premier League appearances during the current term.
In case Bailly leaves, then United would probably try to recover most of the €38 million they spent on the Ivorian international two years ago, although considering his potential, it seems quite unlikely that United will try to part ways with him.
