The Trabzonspor midfielder scored the winner in the recent 2 – 1 win over Galatasaray, his first goal of the season. After making his debut in a Turkish Cup win over Gaziantepspor, the youngster has become increasingly important to his hometown club.
Last season saw him make 22 appearances for Karadeniz Fırtınası with Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven both watching him on several occasions.
Yazici, who made his Turkey debut in June against Kosovo – capping his performance with an assist – is attracting attention across Europe.
Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Monaco, and AC Milan, are all interested in the attacking midfielder with a burgeoning reputation.
However, Arsenal are reported by Fotomac, a Turkish media outlet, to have contacted Trabzonspor with an initial £10m offer. The two clubs are set for further talks and it’s claimed, will continue negotiations with the Super Lig outfit holding out for a fee of around £16m.
In today’s inflated market, Arsenal may find themselves with a bargain on their hands. Mesut Özil, Germany international of Turkish extraction, may be the Gunners ace in the hole when it comes to helping the youngster make a decision.
