FC Barcelona have been looking for alternatives to replace Neymar over the past few weeks, but it is worth noting that they have been far more active as of late since all signs indicate Neymar will join PSG sooner than later.
Los Blaugranas have been looking at several alternatives to fill their void on the left wing. Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho, Eden Hazard, and Dele Alli have all been mentioned as potential transfer targets. However, one last name has sneaked in the team’s agenda over the last few hours.
The new name is no other than Antoine Griezmann. The French star forward from Atletico Madrid has been one of the top strikers in the world in the last two years, and Barcelona are reportedly interested in enquiring Atletico about a potential transfer.
However, there is not a lot of hope regarding a switch from Vicente Calderon to Camp Nou. Griezmann is one of the most expensive players in the world, and it is hard to imagine Atletico looking to sell their star forward to a direct opponent in the league.
Griezmann was decisive for Atletico last season, scoring 16 goals and dishing out eight assists in 36 Liga appearances for Los Colchoneros. He finished with 26 goals in 53 games across all competitions.
