Edin Dzeko could leave AS Roma this summer! According to reports from Italy, the Giallorossi are currently not thinking about renewing the striker’s contract which runs until June 2020.
As Calciomercato are reporting, extending the contract of the Bosnian forward is not a priority for Roma at this point. Sporting director Monchi is obviously not yet ready to offer new contract to Dzeko and there could be several factors for that thinking.
In just over two weeks, Dzeko will turn 33. The forward is not getting any younger and while his previous season was almost spectacular, this year is a tougher one. He scored just seven goals in 21 Serie A appearances this season, which might make Monchi feel like Dzeko is not going to be able to produce.
There are also reports swirling around about Inter being potentially interested to sign him this summer, as Dzeko will be entering his last year of contract and Roma will probably want to earn something while they can.
