Manchester United are open to add a centre-back before the transfer window in the Premier League closes in roughly two more weeks. The Red Devils have been constantly linked with a move for Leicester City‘s Harry Maguire, but he is not the only player United are targeting.

According to a report from Spanish newspaper SPORT, Manchester United have asked Yerry Mina to wait for them to make an offer for him. The towering centre-back impressed with Colombia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and United consider him more than a viable alternative in case negotiations for Maguire fail.

However, other teams have also been linked with the Barcelona defender. Everton have been named as a potential destination, but Fenerbahce and Besiktas have also expressed different degrees of interest for the towering defender, who scored three goals with Colombia in the World Cup.

For what is worth, Mina is not keen on a move to Turkey and is also interested in playing the UEFA Champions League, so he would prefer Manchester United over Everton if the chance to choose arises.

It is believed that United are open to submit a €40 million bid for Mina, who won’t have space in Barcelona’s first team this season following the arrival of Clement Lenglet to Los Blaugranas this summer. Will we see him at Old Trafford once the 2018-19 Premier League season kicks in?
