Real Madrid have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to their attacking power. And that only means one thing: at some point, some players will end up leaving the side in an effort to gain a bigger role somewhere else.
Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale have been mentioned as potential alternatives to leave tbe Santiago Bernabeu this summer. But another that might leave the side in the coming months is no other than Lucas Vazquez, as the Spain international is set to leave Los Merengues this summer.
The 26-year-old playmaker is currently happy at Real Madrid, but he is not getting any younger – and if we consider that he is hitting his prime years, it makes sense for him to try and test his luck elsewhere. Lucas has been confined to a secondary role at Real Madrid and chances are that his situation won’t change much in 2018-19.
Fortunately for him, several teams have already expressed interest in the talented attacking midfielder who can operate all over the final third. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and AC Milan have all enquired about him, but Madrid remains unwilling to part ways with one of his most priced assets.
Lucas featured in 48 games for Real Madrid last season, netting eight goals and adding 12 assists to his tally. He was one of the leaders of the club in the assist department.
