One of the biggest surprises in the UEFA Champions League group stage was the performance of Besiktas, as the Turkish Super League side reached the Round of 16 while turning lots of heads in the process.

One of their best players were Anderson Talisca, a Brazilian playmaker who is currently on loan at the Turkish side from Benfica. However, Talisca is not returning to Benfica and with the Black Eagles unable to trigger a €21 million buy-out clause, this means the 24-year-old is basically up for grabs for any team willing to meet that price.

Several European sides have joined the race to acquire the Brazilian, but latest reports have indicated that AS Roma are winning the chase for the coveted midfielder. In fact, several Italian outlets have went as far by saying that The Giallorossi have reportedly had a bid accepted by Benfica, meaning they now have permission to negotiate personal terms with the player.

Agreeing personal terms with the player shouldn’t be very hard, as Talisca will definitively earn a big raise if he completes his move to Rome. But it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see that Talisca is on the radar of some of the world’s top sides since he has contributed with 26 goals in 52 league appearances for Besiktas during these past two years.
