PSG are expected to be quite active in the transfer market this summer, as the management will try to improve their squad following another season where they couldn’t get the job done in the UEFA Champions League.
One of the ideas is to bolster the team’s midfield and one name that has been heavily linked with a move to Les Parisiens is Fabinho, who currently plays for Ligue 1 rivals AS Monaco. The Brazilian is all but set to leave Les Monegasques, and French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain appear as his most likely destination.
According to Canal + journalist Olivier Tallaron, Les Blues have set their sights in Fabinho to the point that they want to make him a priority signing as soon as the transfer window opens. For what is worth, Fabinho has also been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid or Manchester United, but PSG are considered favourites.
The 24-year-old is one of the highest rated defensive midfielders in Ligue 1. He played a crucial role in helping the Principality club lift the French league title last season, but all signs indicate he is leaving the side after a five-year tenure since he arrived from Real Madrid.
Fabinho made 26 Ligue 1 appearances this season. He scored 6 goals in the process and provided 3 assists.
