Manchester City have stepped up their initial interest in French midfielder N’Golo Kante, 25, and offered personal terms subject to agreeing a fee with Leicester City.
Leicester have told Kante he can leave in the summer providing that no offer is made until the club have won the league tittle.
Kante has been a rock in Leicester City’s midfield all season, earning plaudits from around Europe. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have scouted the player but it is Man City who have made the first move.
Arsenal have also made enquiries regarding Kante’s availability but are yet to make a move, with manager Arsene Wenger keen on bolstering his midfield options.
The players future will not be decided till the end of the season however, regardless of whether personal terms have been agreed.
